Credit all songs in the description and ensure that you have permission, whether it be written consent (You have to be able to prove) or just use Royalty Free music.. When I make mine I try not to add music, however I added a little "bloop" sound effect, taking less than a second, and they demanded to know if I had permission to use it. So just make sure it is properly credited and royalty free.. Good Luck.

How i get permission from them

If you want to use say pop music from the charts, just drop a letter, however I guess it would be easier for Royalty free, there are some good tracks around the internet

Try something like this:
http://www.freeplaymusic.com/
Or when you start to get a few more views you get access to the ******* Music Library in your channel settings.. Which you are free to use and monetize in all of your videos.

Open the song in any video editing software, cut off a few seconds from beggining or end of it, save it as a movie/sound file and then add it to your video, then ******* should not auto-detect what song it is.

Make sure you add that copyright statement, like the music can be used freely (if) copyrighted for comments, personal or other usage which doesn't damage the financial/company properties/estates of the music publisher itself
Re: ******* question - Emmet_ - 23.11.2013
Cutting a bit off the song will work in some circumstances, but it's deemed illegal for most music companies if the music you're editing is not for personal use (yes, you've somewhat "republished" the music, along with the video). Just do what StuartD said.
