Active Directory problem :( -
absolute - 21.11.2013
hey everyone . there is a serious problem and i will be happy if someone help me to solve it
well first of all, i was searching on ****** the rest of the day . but i didnt find any helpful result.
so, i ran kerio on my server to provide vpn services and i installed active directory to have much more control to the users and accounting system. everything was ok until my host announced that they are not going to host VPS anymore . so i got my server's VMWare info and i gave it to another persian host called nikserver. after they transferred my server , my users can't connect using their username and password. and when i wanna create a user on active directory , it keeps giving me this error :
well , some people may say why don't you ask your service provider to help you .
i asked them , but they didn't know how to fix it . most of the iranian hosts sux in suporting and shits...
and sry for my bad English ^^

Oh god Active Directory is a fucking bitch to work with. I have to set up a virtual network for school using this particular tool.
To stay on-topic: Your server is not operational. I am guessing either your VPN is off, or the whole server is off, or you messed around with the some settings(presumably the IP settings)

If your IP suddenly changes, stuff like this especially on Windows won't work anymore. I'm not an ITer so I don't know how to fix it, but I think it'd be easier just to set it up from scratch and import the user database.

Moving outside of Iran is in what way relevant...
ON:
I got nothing, just posted to ask the relevancy of the post made ^. I've never actually explored Windows based servers properly, so I can't help, lol.

Server 2003 is outdated, you should not be using it on an internet server!
Did you get a fresh install of windows when you moved to a new host?

I only just noticed you use a 2003 server. Don't. Just, don't.
Use Windows 2008 or something, but not something as outdated as this/
