What do you guys think about this? I honestly think this is a very nice ideia. Of course the engines are different and all that same trash talk, but I think it could work out with some work.

Isn't GTAOnline just loads of missions, races, deathmatches, buying apartments, buying cars etc? (note that I have not played it, only heard of these things)
SA-MP has had those things for years.

Yea, IMO i think SAMP is still better than GTA Online. I've been playing SAMP since late 2010 and still playing. GTA online, well i'm bored of it already.

GTA Online is no different than the average SA-MP server. In roleplay servers, you can buy houses and stuff like that. You can race in a racing server. You can play team deathmatch in a tdm server.
Making a GTA Online game in SA-MP would be silly, and a waste of time (imo)

GTA Online aka SA-MP PEN1 LS.
The only way for GTA Online to become better than SAMP is by releasing a server toolkit where people can script their own gamemodes with all the callbacks and functions GTA V has to offer.
Until that happens, SA-MP will always be superior, plus, unlike GTA V, SA-MP has the advantage that its game is nowadays supported in any computer.
