Yes its a good place to sell your works / products, but you cannot sell it on this forums.

You have a bigger buyers range due to it being international.
However, you'll have alot more competition than you would have in a normal IRL store.
And breaking through(Becoming well known) can be very hard too.
My choice would be a normal store with an online webshop on the side(What allot of stores are doing these days)

Yes, the internet is a wonderful place to market, sell and buy goods. You can create hype on the internet, making your product a success.

Yes, as Carz0159 said. If you are looking to earn some good money you could always focus on programming services (including website design - a BASIC website with a decent design is about $3,000-$5,000). Due to the lack of need for shipping and such it can be quite profitable! (Just remember it is not permitted to sell your (or someone elses') SA:MP scripts ANYWHERE).
Good luck!

Creating a hype around your website can be very difficult.
One thing I hear everytime people talk about opening a store is "Yeah well we'll just sell it cheaper than everybody else."
Note that on the internet, that is almost always impossible. Suppliers put a miminum sales price on their products.
This is to keep the values of everything balanced, and on the internet, alot of sites go for the stategy of putting products for the exact minimum price.
You also cannot simply ignore this minimum, because depending on your countries' law you can get a fine going from hundreds to thousands of X(Currency).
Marketing on the internet is also very difficult because more and more people use adblock, and in general, people avoid companies that make annoying advertisments more than they actually visit the site.
The best you can do is try to get YT advertisment space, or spread flyers around, but flyers aren't very effective since the internet is worldwide.

That sentence is flawed. Very flawed.

You're a doctor so that makes you a marketing whiz? I don't think so buddy. These are your opinions, certainly not professional opinions.

It is somewhat luck, but mainly marketing tactics and strategies. Take a look at the different approaches Rockstar used when you compare GTA IV to GTA V. It's not luck, it's not just strategies either. Businesses need to have a well thought and planned business model.
Another example; Minecraft. Unknown indie developer takes over the gaming world. From nothing "Notch" created this new an innovative business model(at least I have never seen it before MC) where players could buy into a pre-release version of the game at a cheaper price. Now I see countless larger corporations adopting this method to boost hype around their product.

If you know how to market correctly, you can do it tho. Also, there are sites like kickstarter and etc. Post videos on YT and on other places to get some interest, have a FB, *******, instagram and whatever other social network you want. Have a decent website that explains everything, and is informative, easy to use and appealing.
Simicity (2013) EA and Maxis built up a huge hype, mostly from YT videos, and people that had SC4, and other SC games helped build it up. They got lots of Hype through Word of mouth, and the beta, which was successful.
But when the game actually came, it was plagued with problems! You couldnt get on for days and there were lots of bugs inconsistencies with the game. Things would disapear. You would be randomly kicked from the server and nothing would save, etc.
They are already on update 7.3, its been 7 months since its been released. There were 19 updates to fix bugs and etc, there still are a bunch of them. The reason they saw so much success is because of the hype they built up. Of course, it is easier for a big company like ea and maxis to build up hype rather than you building it up.

Whoops, didn't realize we were specifically talking about videogames! I thought webshops in general, sorry!
