if i added bots to the server would they take some of the player slots?

Ofcourse, they take players slots.

Yes, and then the slots will go down. Let's say you bought a server slot with a 500 player capacity, and you added 10 bots, then it would say on the SA-MP client, when the server has just the bots and no real life players, 0/490 players are online.
