What's good for a GM? - DanishHaq - 04.09.2013

Hi, I am planning to make a server with my mate, we're thinking of doing a Team Deathmatch GameMode, all from scratch. Do you think this is a good idea player base wise? Because, in my opinion I think that Roleplay is dying off now, people are just getting bored of it, and it's the same everyday, where as on Deathmatch it's different.. kind off. I'm not so experienced with Deathmatch servers, but I wasn't experienced with Roleplay servers either, and picked that up really easily.

Good idea and why or not so good idea and why? I would just like to know about if people play deathmatch servers, and if they think that deathmatch servers are fun. RP servers can get boring, certainly.

PS: Whilst you're there, if you have any suggestions to a Deathmatch server, hit me with it. It'd be great to have some of your suggestions too that me and my mate would be able to discuss.

Sniper warfare. Or stealth.

If you could script in a UAV/predator drone that would be unique.

Try something unique. If it's going to be TDM, make it stand out from the other servers.
I wouldn't do roleplay, there are too many of those already.

Believe me Most of SA-MP loves Call Of Duty servers = like TDM big maps territories duel locations

Or Cops and robbers with unique and cool cmds like cuff etc..

Make a Splinter Cell themed server. Stealth, snipers, and group-work rather than the bog-standard run around lone-wolf strafing and lag-shooting.

I made a one-shot-kill server (that I should probably restart someday) based on a light edit of the SF-TDM script that comes with SAMP. Super easy...just use onplayertake/givedamage so that if someone is hurt by someone else, they die instantly.

Its fun because weapons don't matter, pretty much only skill. Someone w/ a pistol can kill someone as easily as someone else w/ an AK.

Anyways, thats how I changed things up a bit on my end. Hopefully that will give some inspiration to think outside of the box (as they say)

Definitely something that allows you to play in different ways such as Stealth, Air Craft ETC. Players love having a variation to what they can do since it lets them roam in any way they can imagine!

make server with Singleplayer Features + minigames or Freeroam.. team dethmatch is boring just killing players evryday
