Why is my server lagging so badly? - QatarKnight - 24.08.2013

My server literally takes 10 minutes to load all the objects when you click "Spawn" you fall into the ground. When i use a teleport command i fall down. Commands take 20 seconds to execute. It is super annoying. I also noticed my gamemode takes time to load when i open samp-server. Is there any filterscript I can download or can i delete something or change something to reduce this lag?.

Did you contact your host to see if they could help you?

If the problem is not what Kevin said, where do you live, and where is the host located? If you live far away from where your host is, it does cause lag. For example if a host of mine was in Australia and I live in England (other side of the world), I would get ultra lag.

If it's not a problem with where you're located, are other servers working like this too? And how's your ping on your server?

I host my own server and I live in the same house. There's nothing wrong with my internet i took the Ookla speed test. My server wasn't like this 2 days ago it was fast as a bugatti. I write a command and i don't even blink and im there that was two days ago though. And also my ping is always 10-30.

Can it be because there are too many objects in my gamemode?. Or simply having too many lines of code?.

Objects?

Yes, they can case much lag, try reducing the objects as much as you can, make sure you are using the Streamer plugin, try to reduce everything, if you added something to the script lately, try removing it, compile script and open server, see if it will case lag or not, there are many solutions you could try..

The last thing i added before the lag started was a filterscript gang system can that be the reason? And will the server be lagging if i host it on a crappy slow computer?
