Hello, I am having problems with putty. Wouldn't it be better to install a CP on it through which ,I can restart/stop/update/start the server. FREE?

The only control panels I know of for SAMP are:
TCAdmin
GameCP
and even WHM has an extension called Game Server which works with SA-MP http://cpgs.cpanel.net/

All of these cost money, however, but they work, and are very good.

If you find it easier to do, then yes i can recommend one for you.

But there is also tutorials on how to properly setup a SAMP server on console.

CPGS is a free add-on for Cpanel, but if your talking in terms of the Cpanel license i guess you can consider it not free.

Yeah, I'm considering the license for WHM. I know it's a free addon. I've never used it though. I'm a TCAdmin user on my dedicated server.

If you can't use a command line to start a simple program, installing a control panel securely would be a bit of an issue...
