HI Guys,

i'm just a beginner
i have got a free vps
can any body help me to choose the os
and how to start the server on it

i already have a server
i can start it on my PC

but i need to start it on the vps

and thanks for your help

Note : I don't know any thing about this matter, So Please answer me as you are trieng to teach a _BABY_

CentOS 6 64bit McMyAdmin

but there are many other types
i don't know what is the best one

Then you need to have the linux files, You cant run windows on it.
(Unless your using WINE, but why would you need to when SAMP has a linux package?)

So i would recommend getting the linux server files to get your server going.

simple to install sa:mp on a linux : centos.
first log into your shh, an example would be putty,
then
wget http://files.sa-mp.com/samp03xsvr_R1-2.tar.gz
after doing so extract the files with the command
tar -zxf samp03xsvr_R1-2.tar.gz
next step is you enter the directory with cd samp03
once in open up your fillezilla or winscp , log in and locate and open folder samp03 , once it make any upload you want and edit server.cfg after you edited and uploaded your server gm , then get back to putty
type in
chmod +x samp-npc samp03svr announce
followed by nohup ./samp03svr & to start the server, you're done.
