The service clearly worked, Its upto the owner to allow your access to the mysql database besides your can always use your website to host the database and keep the information secure.

Plus, you have no exact proof of that.

It wouldn't surprise me if they was owned by the same guy. The same guy who owns ig-host owns various hosts which look like a nigerian scammer host.
