Is it even possible to host on a rbpi?

I have no personal experience with SAMP servers on Raspberry Pi, but I doubt you can pull 50 slots from it.

I do think it's possible to make a small server, though.

Yeah its possible, that depend of your model... On your RaspBerry Pi, what's your Operating System? (Raspbian? Arch?...)
You need to have a good connection for host 50 players...

I don't think it would have the processing power to handle 50 concurrent connections, try 5-10.

Small server yes, but nothing major production like.
