An alternative to Fraps - Face9000 - 12.05.2013
Someone knows a good alternative program to Fraps? I wanna change it because it reduces drastically my fps while recording.

I searched on ******, and found Camstudio. It's open source and free, and should get the job done I guess.

Cam Studio wasn't only for desktop recording?

Every application that records DirectX/OpenGL will reduce your FPS.
PS: Try Bandicam

Not sure, I haven't used it myself yet.
EDIT: Check this list, the first post has a little list with software similiar to Fraps.

Bandicam is awesome so far.
Files are much smaller due to other encoding and the fps are reduced a lot.

Dxtory - you can change your ingame FPS to what you want while it'll record (if it can) at say 29 FPS
