Of course it will but you need to have some good specs to upgrade to Win 8.

Good specs? Windows 8 isn't a resource whore like Vista. Anything bought within the past several years will run it fine.

OT: Just curious to know why are you upgrading to Enterprise instead of Pro or something else? For business purposes?

Windows 8 Enterprise is basically Windows 8 Pro with a few more features. I'm actually running Windows 8 Enterprise. I suspect he's using Enterprise because he has a key for it.
