What's that word? Terminology for two objects intersecting -
MP2 - 10.05.2013
There's a word that describes the situation where two 3D models 'collide' with each other but go through each other (collision issue). I want to know what the word is. I thought it was 'clipping' but apparently that's something completely different.

You mean Z-Buffer? Nah, that's when two objects are in the _same_ position, 'fighting' over which should be shown on a player's screen.

If that's what you are talking about, I'm pretty sure it's "interpenetration"
If you use 3dsmax, you'll know.

I don't think I'll ever find this word unless I find that article again, but it seems to have disappeared.

Melting, fusion?

If they go through each other, I'm not really sure: penetration, insight, breakthrough, permeation.

Back to your Call of Duty example, that is called collision (player collision). I'm guessing that's not the word since you used it in your original post, but I've never heard anything other than player collision.
