I heard the map is larger than Red dead and GTA I'VE combined. Sounds big enough anyway.

Many publications saw a 90 minute gameplay of GTA V and then reviewed it.

Similar to previous GTAs, the map isn't landlocked (surrounded by water). The map 3.5 times the size of Red Dead Redemption in terms of playable area above ground. Five times if you count underwater area. The geographical scope is huge and spans: Mountains Rivers Lakes Military bases Farmland Desert Dense urban environments...and more An underwater ecosystem exits, "the sea is teaming with fish and sharks" A deer and a wildcat were spotted in the mountains. Treasures can be found underwater, but NPCs will be looking for them too Shipwrecks, sharks, hidden treasures and more could be found underwater The entire world is populated with fitting wildlife and inhabitants unique to specific areas

They said it's gonna be bigger than red dead 2, GTA SA, and IV maps combined. It's asumptly going to be a massive, detailed Los Santos, and maybe an even bigger countryside.

The playable land area (which is what counts, fuck the ocean floor) is 3.5x the size of RDR. Straight from Rockstar.
