Advertising for Services - RVRP - 26.04.2013
I recently had the misfortune of having my thread, which advertised that I was hiring individuals to complete graphic design and video editing for a community currently in development, closed because I am only allowed to request help in a specific thread. Not only can I only ask for help in a specific thread, but I can only post one time in that specific thread. In other words, in two days my one and only post will be washed away by the plethora of other incoming posts and my request will forever be muted from that point forward.
Why must we be restricted to a single POST to advertise any and all services our community requests. I don't mind the fact that a specific forum doesn't exist for this subject, and I don't mind the fact that the thread itself exists, but if I choose to post a specific thread for my needs (mainly because I would like the ability to reply to the thread to provide updates and bump it to the top after due time) is it really necessary that it is closed?
Thoughts?
Also, just checked and it appears my thread was not only closed but also deleted.

Because if everyone was allowed to start a new thread for that, the forum would be full of "NEED ADMINZ 4 MY NEW UNIQUE SERVER BEST SERVER EVER I HOST IT ON MY PC U CAN BE CO OWNER IF U DONATE ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!"
And that's not a speculation, that's how it was before that rule was introduced.

Besides, if people aren't replying, it's because they generally aren't interested. Why not go out and advertise on a billboard? I think it's pretty generous at all being allowed to advertise here for free, even if it is just one thread, or just a signature. Companies pay heaps of money to advertise their services and products, yet here we get it for free and we are almost guaranteed some traffic.

Need I tell you the gross profit of the leading SA-MP server? Need I tell you the average gross profit of SA:MP servers? You are comparing apples to microorganisms.
Your first sentence also proves that you completely missed the entire point of my thread -- and in fact, you just proved one of the most solid points I am trying to defend in your ignorance.
