Yes you can , If you got that site for example gaming.com so you will make it play.gaming.com:7777 but it will be hosted on your Website so you should get a VPS .

If you have webhosting you do it via Cpanel,it's DNS zone editor,you add a CNAME record and its done.

Yeah either use a CNAME or A DNS record. A domain and a server would do.

you need a Vps to start one, the it will be hosted one for you

Not true. Any domain name with DNS control will work, even if you're on a shared hosting service.
