What to script? Suggestions inside - Face9000 - 12.04.2013
Hello, im planning to script a new gamemode but i dont know which.
My category is referred to TDM, what do you guys suggest? I was thinking at a TDM server located at Los Santos, or maybe some RED vs BLUE...

Try to make something unique, I guess like DayZ, but everybody now is making it, so think of something unique but do you plan to release it or not ?

Play some games, watch some movies then combine the ideas from both.

Yuck, a TDM? That is super ultra old and taken. Try scripting something new. Hell, take new game ideas and just put them into SA-MP, like everyone is doing ! (SAMP DAYZ, COD SAMP, NFS SAMP, etc)

TDM with Marvel and DC, you invest your points into separate abilities so you decide yourself. Examples; Regeneration, strength, flying(for a short period), etc.

How about some kind of desert sniper warfare server, like Afghanistan TDM. Soldiers vs Tabliban. A TDM primarily about snipers, where you find the best vantage point and snipe the other team from across the area. Snipers would be 1-shot-1-kill obviously.
You could add in a bit of foot-soilder and patroller stuff too.

Yeah sure don't base it 100% on snipers, but have it mostly about that and a bit of foot soldier stuff too. Definitely set it in the desert. I mean COD5 SAMP the sniper is seriously underpowered, if a sniper can kill in one shot, even with body armor on, then it'd be realistic and enjoyable.
I haven't seen a server like this before, and people always love stealth and trying to find a good spot somewhere that nobody will see you and you will get lots of kills. Where that desert abandoned airfield is, there is a massive empty space of desert. Put down a load of random objects for cover for the foot soldiers

Oh and you could also have it to do with bombs, claymores... invisible explosives set in the ground by the opposing team. A desert battle ground based around snipers dug in deep around the edges of the map, mines/claymores placed throughout the battlefield, and foot soldiers who have to get to the other side and dominate the enemy base. Now that I haven't seen before.

Even a bad gamemode can be made awesome by getting tweaked, adding catchy textdraws and other awesome stuff. Even RP, Freeroam, CnR gamemodes are "super old" but people still play them.
