Web Developing/Designing - Nick_Echo - 07.03.2013

Well I know many of you guys are like, why post this here, but I know LOTS of people are into different things and actually have jobs in web developing that are around 15 years old, some younger, some older.

I was just wondering, what do I have to learn?

I know
HTML
some CSS

Wheres a good place to learn/relearn this again, and what else do I need to know.

Also once i'm good at this, what do I have to learn to get a job at web developing/design and where can I get a job?

I'm 13 years old and I have a job as a web developer with a local marketing company...

You need to know:

HTML (well for designing, basics for back-end)
CSS (same thing^)

PHP (for back-end)
AND/OR
ASP.NET/C# (for back-end)

(And yes... I've been coding PHP since I was 9.)

And I thought I was too young to learn all those things (I'm 14)

Re: Web Developing/Designing - DirtyLilFreak - 07.03.2013

I started designing websites when I was 16 years old at school for a project. Since then I am learning more and more about web designing. I haven't got into web development yet since there is so much to learn in web designing itself. Its endless what you can learn about web designing. I would say do some freelancing and get more knowledge and experience. Also do some designs just to try some new stuff that you see. Goto inspiration sites and get some inspiration. Many companies look for emplyees with the latest coding practices, which most possibly include responsive web development and css optimization (and a lot more which I'm not aware of) imo. And for web development +1 for what Garu said.

Ok what are some good places like websites and ******* channels to learn?

I used w3schools.com but they didn't really explain stuff the best

But are there any ******* channels good for out therE?

You just have to be persistent, and not limit yourself to one language. You not only have to know them, you have to be completely fluent. After you learn html/css, you should then go on to learn basic javascript, then jquery with ajax (ajax is easier with jquery). Then you could go on to learn PHP with a database system. ASP is really just microsoft's equivalent to PHP, except the tools are more expensive. Web development is really cool though. It's (IMO) more profitable than learning the low-level languages having more to do with the actual computer. In short, just be resourceful, the internet is a place where you could really learn just about anything.

Try this website too, I found it useful at times.

I think you might be confused about that. HTML/CSS are the front-end sides of the site (things visually seen by the user). The stuff about PHP/ASP is right though.
