Host not able to use whirlpool - Printable Version

Host not able to use whirlpool - Eminem 2ka9 - 06.03.2013

I use volt-host, and it cannot use whirlpool. I have whirlpool.so on the plugins folder, but when i try to start the server via host control panel, it says

Volt-Host needs 64 bit Whirlpool.so for working. I think this error of not loading the plugin might be because you maybe having 32 bit Whirlpool.so in your plugins folder. download 64 bit Whirlpool by clicking here and update your whirlpool, recompile and run the server. It should work.

Also in future, while posting the server.cfg file, dont post this line

I used the program that volt-host made, it is called "one-click mod updater" and it installed the whirlpool.so, but still, the error appears.

Also, if i do not have whirlpool, does that mean register dialogs that rely on whirlpool, they won't appear anymore?

Whirlpool is used for hashing password. You can still use the register and login systems without having Whirlpool. just replace the WP_Hash() function with format(). But its better to use Whirlpool so that players playing in your server will trust you fully for showing loyalty. By the way, if you use one click mod installer in volt to install plugins, it must not show error. If it shows, you should better contact their support desk for more help.

Try contacting volt-host, since its their server (and therefore...their problem to solve)
