What type of ban/problem? -
HeresOtis - 14.02.2013
I have a desktop and laptop connected to the same router. I was ban on a server while using my desktop and now I'm
unbanned(admin told me). But when I try to join the server from my desktop, it says that I'm banned from that server and server closed the connection. But I
can join the server from the laptop. I tried using Hotspot Shield on my desktop and then joining the server but I still can't join, even if I use a different name that's registered in the server. So for some reason I can't join from my desktop, but I can join from the laptop, both which are connected to the same router and have same IP beginnings - 192.168.
What type of ban am I in? Is there such thing as a MAC address ban, or the server can put a cookie on my HDD
I need to play from my desktop since it has the hardware requirements to run the game smoothly.

The IP shown on that site is probably banned. 192.168 is part of a local IP address.

Anyone know what type of ban system the server is using, as to why I can connect from a laptop, but not from my desktop, both are connected to same router, so both in same IP range?

An admin said that they IP ban you and they ban you by "detecting your PC". What does that mean?
They also said I'm not banned.

Try to change the windows username. It's a trick to ban it ( or bans the path of GTA SA.. I don't remember )
