Help me, with getting my Server online! -
harshsyd - 30.01.2013
Hello, I need help. I am making a SA-MP Roleplay Server. So, I've got all the Commands, All the Scipting, DONE; I've portforwarded, I allowed SAMP in Microsft Windows Firewall, I got a Static IP. Ok, So, The Problem is: When I upload my server online, it uploads it, BUT!; it uploads it with my Internal IP Address, not my Public Static Ip Address, and I HAVE PORTFORWARDED TOO! Also, when i Try to connect to it, it just says: Server didn't respond. Trying Again... But I Wanna make it Public. I portforwarded, nothing is blocking samp.exe in my PC (WINDOWS 7). So, my real thing is that; look;: why does it upload the Server, with my Internal ip address ? Which is 192.168.XX.XX. WHY ? I port Forwarded with my Public Static ip: 14.200.74.106, but it uses my Internal IP and my server ain't public, ALSO, I CANT PLAY AT IT TOO!, So I just wanna know that how can i create my server PUBLIC and without it hosting it with my Internal IP Address and make it host with my Public Static IP Address. So, Please HELP ME!

I live in Australia, I am with TPG Network.

1) Do you have bind 192.168.XX.XX in your server.cfg?
2) Have you tested the server on a different computer? You shouldn't be trying to connect using external IP while in local network, it might even be blocked.

In Windows firewall, every program has two checkboxes: Public and Private. It does not mean "Open for all" and "Only myself and my friends", it means the type of your network connection. At home, it's most likely Private, while at work/library etc. it's most likely Public. (Up to configuration) You can change your network type from Private to Public and vice-versa in your connection settings under Windows. Make sure you've ticked the checkbox for particularly your network type in Windows firewall.
I hope I was clear enough.
