There's no point of it, all you see now is <TOPIC NAME [+REP+++++]> or 'rep me if i helped u, k thx'

It just creates more nuisances than benefits.

Thoughts/opinions?

I don't really care about rep, it's just that it gets annoying seeing these members spam for it.

I think people just want it to server ad. I don't see another reason why. Well, I'm new on these forums so I don't really know all the things rep can be used for.

As far as i think more reps prove you having more skills So that's why poeple like to have it as much as they chould have.

Wrong. Example, a guy has 500 reputation points. A noob goes and gives his his GM, asking him to fix it. The GM's worth 500$. He steals it and goes away. See? We cannot trust everyone in our life, you have to learn that

Its only purpose is to post server advertisement, which honestly, I don't see being very useful. Now you just get people who beg for rep and get it from their friends or those people who "randomly give rep". So, any significance it did have has been diminished.

No. Like mentioned, it is up to the person you helped anyway to give you rep, and then it only counts if they can actually give you it (as in, it add to your total). There are also people who randomly give out rep (like mentioned above (*cough* other language forums *cough*)).

I don't care whether or not it stays or goes, but it is quite annoying seeing the 72pt bold signatures asking for rep.
