I cant connect to samp from my laptop. - MadafakaPro - 18.01.2013

Hi, recently i bought new laptop. i've instaled gta and samp correctly but i cant connect to my server when i host it from my laptop on home host (it says it says Retreiving info ...) but i can connect to other servers.
And my IP is static so i use the same IP as my PC could this be a problem?

If your two PCs has the same local IP, then there will be an IP-conflict causing one (or both, I'm not sure) computer to lose its connection.

If you however misspoke, and only meant that they have the same external IP, then it shouldn't be any problem.
Make sure your firewall has an exception for SA-MP.

I've addded exeption for samp but i still cant connect to my home server ...
Please help.

Go your computer and laptop and goto www.whatismyip.org

then if they match then change them.

Instruction
First click on Start then Run and type command in the Open: field and press the OK button.


To determine what your IP address and default gateware are we need to run ipconfig.exe. Type ipconfig.exe and press enter. The Default Gateway address and the IP Address will be displayed. Regardless of whether there are addresses listed here, continue with the next two steps.


You will need to release your current IP address and gateway in order to get a new one. If this turns out not to be the problem with your computer, this proceedure will not hurt anything by attempting it. Release your current IP by typing the following ipconfig /release and then press enter. This will release any assigned IP addresses and gateways from your computer.


Next you need to type in ipconfig /renew to get a new IP address or default gateway. On the screen your should see your new Default Gateway and IP Address. If you are using a router or your IP has not changed on your modem then the addresses may not have changed.


Type exit to leave the command prompt and get to Windows.
These changes should take effect immediately.

Its still not working,
I tried runing the samp-server.exe from my pc and i cant connect to the server from my laptop...
Anyways thanks for your reply!
Any other solutions?

Use "lanmode 1" If not i guess you must port forward? and make sure you got all the plugins you need and check what it says in the server_log.txt ?

I don't know much about this but just trying to help

If your two computers have the same WiFi, then, open the samp_server.exe in anyone of them, and then,

1# Click On Start

2# Type Run

3# Open it and type cmd and open it

4# in the cmd which poped up type ipconfig

5# search for your ipv4 address

6# then copy it and then if your server port is 7777 add it like this : ip4vaddress here:7777

Well i can connect now but other players cant /?
