What do you think about it? Played on a server which was asking people to donate monthly to have donating status, greedy?
yes indeed if you ask me.
server had only ~27 slots, doubt it costed that much to have it running that you needed 10 euro a month from every donator.

Nobody forces you to donate or to play that server.
If you don't want to donate, simply don't.
If they "force" you to donate (which defeats the purpose of donating) simply leave their server.

Yeah I know, but reducing the joy of being non-donating player by limiting them in every feature is kinda like forcing people to donate.
Less money from robberies and so on.
Of course i left that server, just wondering what people think about servers charging monthly fees for people to be donating players.

Does this server FORCE everyone to donate or do they just charge monthly fees for a "VIP" status which gives you additional perks?

Is that forcing? I doubt so. Thats just paying for 1 months, instead of lifetime, one of the most used premium payment ways for e.g. online games. So no, not greedy. If you think thats too expensive, simply dont pay, and wait for them to reduce the prices.

Don't donate if you don't want to. Big servers like LS-RP require you to update your status monthly and I think that is okay, they need the wserver to be alive. But small servers, ones that just start out I think it is not such a good idea to even donate yet. Wait until you are SURE you want the status and that youare SURE it is a god deal. Like 3 dollars a month for a cheeta? Is that a good deal?

Yes I hate it, but if they made it permanent or every year, their server would fail and need more donators.
