3D rim modelling. - RedJohn - 18.11.2012

Heoy guys. I just want to show some of my rim modelling in SolidWorks. I hope you like it.

Sake is my nickname.

Should I continue modelling or stop ASAP?

if you look at real car rims you'll notice the middle bit is a lot bigger than yours which it needs to be to fit the car
the tire texture also needs to be looped

Re: 3D rim modelling. - RedJohn - 18.11.2012

It's so hard to design without real dimensions. Agreed with your tire texture thing.

Thats pretty decent. You should carry on. I need some good rim models for zmodeler!

The second picture looks better. And you should go ahead with modelling!

Fabulous work. :O Keep working on them!

Re: 3D rim modelling. - RedJohn - 19.11.2012

Thank you all. Yes, tire texture is a bit too stretched. SolidWorks doesn't offer so much texture options.

EDIT:

Last one.

I increased middle thing and added some background and plate with my name.
