Re: Home Host Question - [UE]Milan - 03.11.2012

Server may start to lag but no physical damage will be done to the PC

Thanks one guy in msn told me that it does some damage

Re: Home Host Question - Hiddos - 03.11.2012

The SA-MP server itself is very light, if any issues would occur they would probably be related your internet speed at home

If you dont have a good cooling system on your PC,that may lead to physical damage

Re: Home Host Question - Glint - 03.11.2012

If you PC's specifications are good enough then nothing will happen,
but if they are low then it may overheat the CPU.

I strongly advise doing your own research before asking a question on these forums - only because the answers you get here are more likely to cause brain cancer than provide any serious help.

You are fucking retarded.

Physical damage would only ever result from overheating. Firstly; most computers are designed to turn off if they overheat specifically to prevent physical damage, and secondly; if your computer is overheating at all then I assure you, you have a much bigger problem than your SA-MP server.

You, too, are fucking retarded.

CPUs were designed to be used, if they overheated under heavy load they would be fucking useless. Regardless, a SA-MP server is very unlikely to max out the CPU - 500-slot servers have been run before with near-0% usage. That may well be due to very optimised gamemodes and you may well be running a piece of shit, but you're also not going to be hosting 500 players. Additionally any CPU from the past 5 years with more than one core will be physically impossible of hitting max usage from a SA-MP server because the server can only use one core. In contrast with your other bullshit statement, more modern computers with higher specifications require more power and better cooling therefore it is more likely that they are more likely to overheat compared to older shitboxes.

Please don't post things like this if you don't have any idea what you're talking about, and James Coral; if you didn't get that, no, it's not possible to physically damage your computer by running a SA-MP server.

Obligatory banana due to rage:

Okay, seriously, what the fuck? You can't damage your computer by running a SA:MP server. Your computer won't "blow up", but if you have a lot of players online at once, it will take up a lot of CPU usage.
