Sounds like a pretty bad situation, do you know what your computer model is or is it a custom build?

you need to have at least a usb port || dvd driver || memory card reader.
if not, i can just say to you, "you're fu####".

2 PCs?
OT: Download EVEREST Home Edition (it's free), run it on your PC on wich you want to install driver, in EVEREST check name of Internet Controller Card and write it down, go to PC that have Internet connection and search for your driver, download it and install it

driver files usually arent deleted when removing a lan connection, and mostly not even needed anyways.
Just go to system configuration -> network -> add lan connection with your settings (automatically get ip etc)

Seems interesting. I would try to add a new LAN connection like suggested and see what happens.

The above should fix your problem.
Uninstalling the network adapter doesn't even remotely make any sense.

Reinstalling the network adapter fixes a lot of problems, as everything is reset (e.g wireless passwords etc).
