How to use a host and which? - darkpool - 15.09.2012
I know how to install a samp server and stuff, but im looking for a host that will work for it so I can run my server. Anyone have suggestions on a specific host? Is it called VPS? I would like for people who have knowledge of running a server to answer my question please.
Also for commands like for example : /veh 451
Do I have to install those seperately?

You can chose between a Game server or VPS or a Dedi .VPS and dedi can run multiple samp servers.You can host for your friends also.VPS costs less that Game servers.For Some 4 -5 $ you get a good VPS (Linux).if you need help in setting your samp servers up in a VPS Just PM me.Where as Dedi costs like 30 $ .
After you get a host(VPS or dedi or Game server) you can just download a GM from here( if you dont know coding) and replace core svr files and plugins for linux(If the OS of your host is linux) and Start a server.

You'll need to learn pawno scripting, I suggest you first download a gamemode and mess around with it. I learned scripting off of messing around with scripts when I first started a SA:MP server.
But you can always take your time to learn scripting by ACTUALLY reading tutorials.

And if this is your first time starting a server, start off with a gameserver. A VPS/Dedi is not really needed until you get 40+ players in my opinion.

If you want someone else to install your samp server for you and answer your support tickets then you should choose a gamehost from this list https://sampforum.blast.hk/showthread.php?tid=189169
Basically, you will get a ready / auto setup server.
Using a VPS means, you will have install and manage your VPS on your on.
Also, most probably VPS (Depends on specs) cost will be more than a server from a host.

Apparently their NL servers are currently down.
