It makes no sense to me. - EliteDrive - 14.09.2012

Hello there SA-MP.

I have a thing that makes no sense to me, and I am pretty sure it will make sense to no one lol.

Anyway as most of you know Nitrous Oxide is illegal pretty much anywhere. Now the question is...

Why is it on sale almost in every garage/car fixing shop. I mean really... I am not kidding you, ive seen lots of people sell it on ebay, kijiji, and shit like that... Even in stores...

How come is it legal it? :P

Thanks for your time and help SA-MP

Off road purposes. Its not illegal either it is just not legal to have installed on a car that you drive on the street.

Код:
(a) the part of the nitrous oxide fuel system comprising the canister, bottle, tank or other store of nitrous oxide is completely disconnected from the other parts of the system;

(b) the disconnection can be observed by looking at the interior or exterior of the motor vehicle; and

© the disconnected parts cannot be reconnected from the driver or passenger seats.

It really depends where you live, but generally you can have the bottle mounted on your car as long it's not hooked or connected.

It makes sense, it may in various cases go wrong and do damage to public buildings or people. Therefore it is taken precautions where this type of modification on vehicles have been illegally made.

You know nitrous oxide isn't just used for cars you know, but if you do a research in wikipedia you see that it's legal : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitrous_oxide#Legality . Although it's illegal for recreational use in some states.

It's used in some races and offroad. It's obviously not illegal, but it will fuck your engine up if you hook it.

Nitrous installations are totally legal
Having a pressurized nitrous bottle in car without legalization (needs homologation and annotation in slip) in car is illegal - since NO is kinda explosive
(at least in Poland)

You can also buy blue flashlights everywhere, yet you're not allowed to install them in a vehicle. Same idea.
