Blue Screen of Death after attempting to delete partition - James Premier - 26.08.2012

Hey guys.

I recently withdrew my 320GB HDD from my Samsung R730, last time I checked the HDD was fine and was in perfect working order.

Today, I installed it to my PC and it was only showing up in "Device Manager", so I set about acquiring a Windows XP disk from the pool of disks in my house, restarted my PC, put the disk in and when into the Windows XP set up.

Following that I went to the HDD partition screen it said "cannot access drive" something among those lines, I attempted to delete the partition anyway and it came up with the blue screen of death.

Can anyone help?
