About Bots [Info] - Sting. - 01.08.2012
I'm going to follow kc's wonderful tutorial on how to create/add bots. "NPC". Now I just have a few questions for those who have the experience on this.
Question 1: Will the bots join my server even if I have a login/register system? Will it have problems?
Question 2: Adding many bots will cause lag or problems? Or is it just fine?
That will be all. Please answer if you know about BOTS. Thanks.

2. Depends on how good your host is. The movement of bots has to be calculated and also be transferred to the clients. The impact on connection is the same as with a real client, I think, so it will be like if you have one more player on the server. Ofcourse Bots will use RAM and CPU of your host, but I don't think that will be that much.
I hope this helped you a little bit.

Yeah I have another question. Example I have 50 player slots. Now in the serverlist it says 1/50 because Im playing in it right now for example. Now I added bots. Lets say 5 Bots. Now the remaining player slots will be 45 right? But I wanted to ask now, with the bots, will the serverlist say 1/50 (But there are bots in the server). Your id will be 5 am I right? Just this very big curious question.
