SA-MP wont launch GTA - Printable Version

SA-MP wont launch GTA - djtivoli - 24.07.2012

So I launch SA-MP, click on the server I want to play on and click connect. Then it goes in the windows basic mode as usual and show the curser as a CD, but then it just goes back to normal windows mode and GTA do not launch. I've tried reinstalling GTA:SA but it still doesn't work. Any solutions?

Do you have gta sa 1.0 if not you have to downgrade.. Any scratches on the dvd disc??..

Yeah i've downgraded it long time ago and again when reinstalling gta. Been working since october and only took the disc out once to play rollercoaster tycoon :3 and there is no scratches from what I can see with my eyes. Worked perfectly after roller coaster tycoon, but out of nowhere it doesnt work. Just been on a vacation for 2 weeks and now it doesn't work. Once it said that it could not determine my version, so I tried to downgrade it again but it said it was downgraded.

Hmm make sure you make back up first.. Go to User > My documents > gta sa user files and then delete gta.set. You have to re-make all settings.

The best option is the re-install GTA. That would hand you a clean gta3.img without any error shit.

So does your visual mode change, when you launch your game and when it goes back to normal your game crashes to desktop?

got it to work again, but yes the colors are little messed up, like smoke from a plane will be kinda green and purple.

its because your current game resolution might be on 16bit.
Change it from 1920x1080x16 to 1920x1080x32 in the game settings.

This probably happens when you install the original version of Gta SanAndreas.
When they show curson+cd sign,it means that you have to insert the cd/dvd first.
But even though it wont work.
Crack your gta_sa.exe
Then all will work perfectly without CD/DVD.
