Yes this is possible with the ShowNameTags function.

If you want to do that for a specific player you could use this function: https://sampwiki.blast.hk/wiki/ShowPlayerNameTagForPlayer

That's not answering his question.

You can disable name tags with ShowNameTags (which also hides the health/armour) then re-create just the names with Create3DTextLabel.
