Java will help you alot!
All the firmwares now'a days are programmed in java.
Take a look at:
The old cellphones
Tv's, atms...all of their firmware is in java.
So are android applications

There isn't easy or hard.
This is on which language
YOU WOULD LIKE to learn and not
WHICH WOULD BE THE EASY language.
@firecat, c++ is used for all computer programs, starting on Operating system, finishing on games.
Java is more likely a "portable" language, which can be used on almost all Operating systems , on almost all phones / computers / tablets ...

Don't tell me what c++ is used for.
Quote:
1.1 billion desktops run Java
930 million Java Runtime Environment downloads each year
3 billion mobile phones run Java
31 times more Java phones ship every year than Apple and Android combined
100% of all Blu-ray players run Java
1.4 billion Java Cards are manufactured each year
Java powers set-top boxes, printers, Web cams, games, car navigation systems, lottery terminals, medical devices, parking payment stations, and more.
