Hello.
I used the search button but nothing came out so here is the topic:
What's better Photoshop or Illustrator? Please tell me why - think about effects for example.
Greetings,
Sampple.

Photoshop.
I'm used to it, that's why it's good in my eyes.

For casual editing I use Paint.NET which is pretty much a low-kitted Photoshop and is free. Photoshop is certainly somewhere to go to if you need effects though.

Both serve completely different purposes.

^ What he said. You can't just compare the two. Illustrator uses vector graphics, Photoshop does not. Illustrator is used for things like logos, etc. Things that need to be infinitely scalable.

Photoshop is best if you ask me, Illustrator to draw logo's drawings, etc...

you can't compare it as they are for different things.
Photoshop is picture editing and stuff
while Illustrator mostly is drawing by vectors.

Hm... I would like to make a logo with some text and a rectangle. What one should I use?

if you want to e.g. animate your logo, then Ai is the better choice.
edit: "exempli gratia" or "example given"
