MySQL Explanation [Rep+] - iRage - 14.05.2012

Well yeah, I've been checking MySQL examples 'n tutorials and couldn't really understand the whole thingy.
Also MySQL tutorials over the internet aren't really helping.

Maybe someone can give me some assistance here on explaining the basics of MySQL and explaining each function in proper English as the Wiki doesn't do that neither?

You might want to start learning SQL first.
After that, you can start focusing on the functions.
The functions you probably going to need the most are:

• mysql_connect
• mysql_query
• mysql_store_result
• mysql_free_result
• mysql_real_escape_string
• mysql_fetch_row_format
• mysql_fetch_field_row
