Hey,
Well simply put I was having CPU issues running my Windows 8 OS so I rolled it back to XP SP3 and well I installed GTA and ran it etc and I just keep getting prompted with "Grand Theft Auto SA needs DirectX 9.0 or higher." even though I've installed 3 different releases of DirectX including the latest and the one included on the disc and still nothing.
Any ideas?

If you have problems when you run on windows 8, then that is your problem....

What I mean is when I install it on my Windows 8 OS, it runs fine but when I install it on XP with SP3, it gives me some stupid DirectX issue and I must have downloaded & installed every DirectX 9 off of microsoft's website.
