You could, but it would take HOURS and HOURS of mapping, I recommend getting others to assist you.

If your using the particles then you'll lag the hell out of players with lower end PC's like mine. I have such a crappy PC that when i place two of the smoke or fire particles it lags the hell outta me. Just a heads up.
Also you could use A LOT of smoke machines, that wouldn't be laggy at all, and it'd look a lot better than particles IMO.

Alright I wont be doing this then, maybe I will suggest a function for OnGameModeInit() that will do this.

The particles in the riot smoke are 2D textures that rotate to always face the player, I believe it's called 2.5D but I'm not sure, but they don't cause any lag at all. If that causes you lag, just driving up a road on an NRG would.

Just an idea. Why don't you just go to the top of all the buildings that you want smoke on, use /save, and then use CreateObject for all the smoke you want and use the coordinates from the savedpositions text file. It would save ALOT of mapping, and would only take you about 10 to 20 minutes.

For me it does indeed cause me lag. I can play fine, until i see a smoke particle or fire particle. It's my old PC. Like i stated before, and yes sometimes driving an NRG up a road does cause me lag when i'm on a server full of people like NG:RP.
EDIT:
The more i think about it, i only saw the fire and smoke particle mixed together with about 50 cars all in that area including mapping. So maybe i am just getting conflicting lag and assuming it's the particles.
