[*] Suggestion for Suggestions -
MP2 - 12.03.2012
We need some sort of website where people can post sugestions, then other players can vote suggestions up/down. Think top comments on *******. Then Kalcor/beta testers can just look at the top voted suggestions, and the stupid ones float to the bottom. FFSnetwork used to have a website for this, but I can't remember it very well.
I think it would be beneficial for everyone. Important suggestions would then be voiced properly, instead of being lost in an 80 page suggestion topic filled with pointless suggestions like 'PLZ ADD SavePlayerCoordinatesToFile(playerid, file[]);'.
What do you think?

I think just a proper forum is enough.

Mantis would be the best solution.

Why not just make it so you can have topics, and the topic which is best rated, or has best poll, or has most comments, or has most views, will get applied first.. (I recommend stars/poll anyways)

Or they can make separate forum section for suggestions thread. Posting suggestions on a thread won't help.

Just 10% or less of the suggestion will be added. Every release happen the same and there's a lot of dissapointment of the people that suggested them. I hope that it won't happen.

I'm not trying to say anything bad about Kalcor or anyone involved with SA:MP AT ALL. Please bare that in mind while reading this post.
I am currently on a video game design college course, and we have a unit for research. I've learnt that an important part of video game development is audience research - finding out what the players want in your game. So really, it makes no sense for Kalcor to 'not ask for suggestions'. I would like an explanation from him on this point.
This mod is developed for the people that play it to enjoy it, not for profit, so it would make absolute sense that Kalcor would want to get involved with the community and find out what they want. It makes Kalcor seem really, 'un-involved' otherwise, which isn't very welcoming.
I know there are hundreds, hell possibly thousands of features that people want, and I am suggesting a platform that would give the most requested features a voice.
As I stated at the start of this post, I in no way whatsoever intend any disrespect to Kalcor and have the upmost respect for all his time and effort that has gone in to this fantastic mod. I am not suggesting he should add every suggestion that is suggested, but I do believe an effort should be made to fufil the wishes of the majority of players by adding commonly requested features.
If nobody suggested things, would we have half the stuff in SA:MP today?
