Sony Vegas Lag - MP2 - 02.03.2012

Just installed Windows 7 (64bit) on my iMac because Sony Vegas was lagging on XP on my PC. Same problem on my iMac. Using Sony Vegas 11 (32 bit).

3.06 GHz processor
4GB ram

No lag whatsoever on normal clips, but when I crossfade* clips I get like 1 FPS in the preview when it's fading, and when it's over it returns to 30+ FPS?! Obviously it's not lagging in the render.

I've tried various things. Any ideas?

Re: Sony Vegas Lag - DuelZ - 03.03.2012

Video editing needs alot of RAM.

how much RAM is left while using it?

Re: Sony Vegas Lag - ColorHost-Kevin - 03.03.2012

Most likely it is your PC, not anything to do with the program.

Re: Sony Vegas Lag - KeeDee - 03.03.2012

As nobert said its about the RAM i thinks.

Lol try to reinstall, does not happen to me. I also tried my weak computer ( laptop ) no lag. So try to reinstall, also buy the legit version

Re: Sony Vegas Lag - MP2 - 03.03.2012

I have 4GB. 1GB is being used while it's playing that part. It's not my RAM.

Re: Sony Vegas Lag - Sebn - 03.03.2012

Change the quality of the preview.

Change the preview quality to AUTO.

Re: Sony Vegas Lag - MP2 - 03.03.2012

I have tried EVERY preview mode. Even Draft (Quarter) - no difference.
