Connecting to my IP Address Not Working - TheMightyEddy - 06.02.2012

So I just made a test server on my own computer and I'm hosting it on my own computer. When I click the check button at the top to add a server, it works but that's only if I type in 'localhost'. I want my other friend to join me too so when I give him my IP Address from (http://whatismyip.org), and he wants to add my server on his list, it says retrieving info. Also, when I put in my own IP Address on my own computer, it says the same thing. Any idea of how my friend can join my server but host it on my own computer? Thanks,

ok, when you want to add and play with your own server on your computer, add this ip to your samp:
this is local ip:
127.0.0.1: port

And when you want your friends to join, send the ip that you can see here (http://whatismyip.org) + port.
this is public ip:
exemple: 189.155.126.200:7777

if you already added the public ip to your samp, delete the public ip from ur samp and the add the local ip + port.

Yes thank you. I have added the port and they have too but it doesn't show up. :/

Don't want to sound like a jackass, but see in the server support that has in all caps "READ THIS BEFORE POSTING". Read that.

You need to port forward.
