Client Crash due to server? -
jonrb - 25.01.2012
Hello,
One of our clients is crashing. According to him, the crashes only happen on our server.
I've seen people analyse crash information before; could you tell me where this problem originates from?
Thank you,
JonRB

I have identified that a small handful of our users are getting crashes with 0x6BD given as the SCM opcode. I would really appreciate it if somebody could help us with this issue as soon as possible.

Do you have any custom mapping? If so, are you also using a streamer plugin with the gamemode/server?
If that's true, check your code and make sure any functions similar to...
Is changed to what the streamer requires.
Eg. Incognito's streamer requires all CreateObject functions to be CreateDynamicObjects.
This is the same for movement, removal and/or other object that can be wrote into the game.
Re: Client Crash due to server? -

That's interesting.
I use the streamer for permanent objects (the map) and CreateObject for other things (Including rotating objects, because my streamer doesn't support them properly yet. I had no idea that this could cause errors.
Thank you for helping.
