You need to be the owner of the channel to set SOP and higher, i.e. you need to have the tilde (~ symbol) or the house symbol or whatever Mibbit uses in front of your name. IIRC: house = owner, key = sop, star = aop, half star = hop.

Oh, if you havent done it you need to do it in this order:

1. /cs register channel password description
2. /cs sop #channel add username
3. /cs sync #channel
