Most of the servers are usually ran by one person (i could be wrong, but most of the ones ive played at least).
imo, it's easier to script a server by yourself, than with a team. The code could get messy.

How the hell you combine spelling errors and scripting advantages, even there is some great scripters , but there english sucks..
