I was wondering if the port that you choose when you buy a server can have any influence to the players. I mean is there any difference between 7777 and 6497 (i gave an example) ?

There is no difference.

I wouldn't say it has a major effect, but I think it may still have one. For example, when I look at a :7777 port on a populated server, it makes me believe they may have their own dedicated server.

I think that the port gives to the player an overview of the server. If there's another port than 7777, the player may believe that the server is hosted on a supra populated dedicated server with a major downtime and so on..
