For about a year now, we've being suffering from 'Catch-up Lag'. It's a weird problem, created when SA-MP used streaming for vehicles and players. I run a Racing Server with some good friends, this 'Catch-up Lag' makes it appear like you're leading the race, until 'WHAM!', the other players catch up as the server regains control over where the other players positions actual are.

How many bots are on your server?

I'm asking because since we removed the bots, things have definitely improved. We had about 25 bots.

Well every npc runs a seperate .exe from the server, and has to sync itself with every player on the server, so yes it's going to create lag the more NPCs and players you have. Everything uses resources.

500, problem? Nah, i don't believe in NPC's really :P

I guess more NPCs require more processor power from the server and it creates lag. Would avoid using NPCs myself as this NPC system isn't very well designed.

The lag feels like its your PC while its the server.
I played over there yesterday.

The feel from driving was very different from when running at 0.3c
Now the bad part, I noticed this on every 0.3d server

Could be me, lets hope not

Please respond if you also notice difference in driving between 0.3c and 0.3d
