0.3d Possible AOTV, Object or client bug? -
Killa[DGZ] - 04.12.2011
Okay so i was on my server just now an i seen this...
The objects (uranus xflow spoiler, samp logo, an green strobes) seem to have detached or somewhat de-synced from the car (elegy) and are moving very very slowly, after i reconnect they are completely gone from this location, many players have reported this to me which i considered total BS as i haven't seen it myself till just now and never had this happen at all in 0.3c.
not sure what would be causing this or if its even script related as all i have done is update to 0.3d, remove some objects with RemoveBuildingForPlayer and added some new sounds, any ideas?

Try recompiling with the 0.3d includes (if you have not yet done so).

That, is quite a good point haha.
I have not yet noted this. Are you changing the vehicle's virtual world at any point?

Yes!, they are taken into a random VW inside a (Custom Modshop) when installing all the vehicle attachments to vehicle.
Would that cause this to happen? as i was under the impression objects are visible in all Virtual worlds + Interiors unless specified otherwise.

I'm not too sure, though I asked because I seem to recall someone mentioning this as a bug in the 0.3d RC stages. I'm unsure on what to say on how to fix this, as I haven't yet experienced this myself; however just see what happens when you set the attached objects specifically to a single virtual world (0 for example).

Yeah funny thing that, i actually removed all of them :/, i used to have them laying all about the place an just like you say in VW 0 & INT 0, it was like a drive in an install on the spot kinda routine...
The new modshop was added in 0.3c, but i guess it wasn't used that much as players had other ways to install this kind of stuff, i don't specify any interior or VW at all when the objects are being created for attaching, its just plain old, CreateObject(18647,0.0,0.0,-1000.0,0.0,0.0,0.0);
Anywayz Thanks heaps for all your help funky, much appreciated!
Aha i found it, it looks like it was my bad after all as players somehow are not being set back to their correct Virtual worlds when exiting the modshop...
What i did was, installed neons, spoiler and a sa-mp logo
, then set the cars vw to 99
i got this...
i feel real dumb now :/

We all make stupid mistakes!
Is this sorted now?

Yes i think so, it hasn't happened again as yet, i did go an change a few things to make dam sure the virtual world will be changed to 0 for both driver and any passengers when exiting the new modshop
Thanks again funky!
Nope still happening, i have like 10 players on vent atm, an one guy said "hey killa there is floating neons an spoiler here", so i teleported to him an there was nothing there so called the other guys to come to me aswell an they seen nothing either...
The guy who reported it to me, insisted there was 2 neons and a spoiler there, i advised him to relog, when he returns he said they are gone...
i honestly think its client related (not that i would know or anything) but if it was a server sided issue wouldn't it still be like it after relog?
Alrighty, really sorry for the spam posts, but i thought i would add that i removed all virtual world player settings completely so you just drive in the garage press H an the dialog comes up for you to install attachments in VW 0 an INT 0 the shop is just down the road from arch.
But even then it still seems to be a problem
hope someone else can confirm this.
