Ahm just look at the language guide...
http://www.compuphase.com/pawn/Pawn_Language_Guide.pdf
And for more knowledge also the implementer's guide
http://www.compuphase.com/pawn/Pawn_...nter_Guide.pdf
Nothing more is needed, except knowing sa:mp functions to work with sa:mp servers

Make yourself a reference manual like i did back in 0.2.2. Go through the functions, callbacks, and IDs on the wiki, copy and paste them to a document, and print it, put it into a binder. It will help you while traveling, learning, or when you randomly lose internet access.

Libraries can also have books for beginners on different computer languages such as Java, C++ and so on. They also can have a site where you can check what books you have online.
Samp also offers pawn tutorials but I think you need basic computer knowledge before you can understand those. Like what if statements are and such.
