SA:MP 0.3d - no chatbox? - xFatality. - 15.10.2011
So I've downloaded/downgraded to the older versions and latest versions of SA:MP 0.3d but the chatbox still doesn't appear, if anybody can help me it would be really appreciated, thanks.
This also happens when I look into the chatlog:
[20:26:09] ChatWindow: Can't create a render surface texture.
and I've tried EVERY version of 0.3d from RC1 to RC5, no help.

It's shown on the Display tab, not on the System tab.

Edit (something that might help): I've had the same problem in SA:MP 0.3c, but I downgraded to SA:MP 0.3c RC1 and it worked, the chatbox appeared, if there's anymore older versions for SA:MP 0.3d like a RC1, that would be appreciated.

What resolution are you using in the game? It's under Display Settings > Advanced.

800x600x32, also look at this other topic of mine, it has some other details (pictures of me connecting to a server then showing the chatbox disappearing, etc).

Your video card should support the chat window texture. Do you have any d3d9.dll in your San Andreas folder?
Edit:
Are you saying it only happens in Windowed mode? I don't think your video card supports render textures in Windowed mode. That could be the problem. You can only play in fullscreen.

Well, if I am running SA:MP 0.3c with the windowed mode d3d9.dll, I can see the chatbox clearly without any problems. But if I'm running 0.3d with d3d9.dll or just alt-enter, the chatbox isn't visible. And I currently have d3d9.dll and running 0.3c to play some servers that run on 0.3c, its very awkward because the chatbox doesn't disappear in 0.3c but it does in 0.3d, so yeah...
